Major General Ian Cardozo is a former Indian Army officer who became the first war-disabled officer in the Indian Army to command a battalion and a brigade. Due to war injury, he had to undergo amputation and had a wooden leg when he was promoted to brigadier in the year 1984. Cardozo also served as the President of the Rehabilitation Council of India from 2005 to 2011.
